Why transform teams?
The greatest challenge facing leadership teams is to deliver value far in excess of the capabilities of individual members. Harthill’s integrated developmental approach leads to clarity about goals and strategy, commitment to action, resolve to face into difficulties together and the ability to recognise and respond to changing circumstances. We help you to develop your collective leadership wisdom.
Developing collective leadership wisdom takes time. There are few ‘quick fixes’ in team development that make a measurable and lasting difference to team performance.
Harthill has worked with many of its clients over many years to support leadership teams in their development and in their emergent contexts, as we believe the following brief summaries of client stories demonstrate.
- With Norwich Union Insurance working with the senior leadership teams we helped contribute to a rise in profits between 2000 and 2005 from £296M to £832M.
- In the SME Sustain, we supported the development of a new leadership structure, enabling the organisation to move on successfully from the original founders and supporting a significant rise in turnover.
- In RSA, we supported the development of an innovative customer centric strategy – 'Love the Customer'. During our work with the leadership team, profitability exceeded analysts’ expectations every year for three years including final year growth in profit before tax of 13%.
- During the five years that we have been working with the leadership team at Wiltshire Probation, it became the first ‘4 Green Star’ performing area in the country, the first small area to achieve ‘Trust’ status, and achieved excellent scores in public protection practice.
Our integrated approach to transforming teams is described in more detail on the next page. Outcomes for each of four phases are made clear.
