Inspiring Women in Leadership

The world needs a different type of leadership. The crises of the banking system, the fragile environment and the multiple splits of belief systems, cultures and prosperity have not been solved by conventional approaches. There is a current debate about a new paradigm of leadership concerned with personal integrity, fairness for humanity and sustainability for the planet.

This is a significant challenge and we see the emergence of women's leadership making a contribution to the debate and to practically generating leaders who can look that challenge in the eye. In response we have for some years been offering opportunities for women in leadership roles to gather together to explore, define and enhance their leadership.

Jane Allen  Jackie Keeley

Jane Allen and Jackie Keeley, both Directors of Harthill and experienced coaches and consultants, are together evolving ways to support women to take leadership roles in the world. They offer a distinctive and unusual approach to women's leadership based on the principles and practice of Action Inquiry: an approach to living and leading which is simultaneously inquiring and productive. It seeks to increase the effectiveness of our actions by enhancing our understanding and awareness of ourselves, others and the contexts that we inhabit.

The Inspiring Women Breakfasts

Our Inspiring Women in Leadership breakfast series is an open network that brings together women leaders from a range of sectors to learn and support each other as they discover and affirm their leadership qualities. Through the series we help members achieve a greater impact in their organisations and the broader arena of their lives.

The London breakfast series for 2010 is well underway. Each meeting has its own integrity as well as forming part of an ongoing forum and network - you are welcome to join at any time. For more information on the London series click here.

The 2010 series will draw on the lives of women who have stepped boldly into the world to pursue their passion, embracing both obstacles and joys along the way. Guided conversations will allow participants to identify and explore women that inspire them, discover and affirm their own inspiring qualities and set an agenda for their continued attention to their support and development.

The series officially launches in the South West on Thursday 15th July. Our ambition is to create an International Centre for Women's Leadership Development.

Date: Thursday 15th July 2010
Time: 08.30 - 11.30am
Venue: Brasserie Blanc, Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus, Bristol
