LDP Debrief Support for LDP-authorised practitioners
Every so often we come together to share our LDP Debrief practice and experiences. In each gathering we reflect and share thoughts and challenges, so if you’ve ever thought, “how do I…”, or “I wonder what someone else would think/say….” when it comes to preparing, conducting or reflecting on a debrief, here is your opportunity to ask and hear from others. It doesn’t matter if you’ve done one or 100 debriefs, this call is for everyone to feel supported in their quest to support others.
In our last call, we looked at some stem completions with the rater's eye - and noticed how subtle language nuances give away the client's inner structure of meaning-making. This forensic work is exciting, indeed!
Yet one stem at a time may blind us to 'the woods behind the trees' - the larger, meaningful clusters of the meaning-making process. This time let's zoom out to the level of such meaningful clusters that we can interpret using our other professional skills, e.g. gestalt, therapeutic, etc.
You may have noticed how some stems speak to each other, mapping out particular areas of the person's inner system - for example, their emotional world, legacy social frames, their identity and kind of agency for the world. Through each stem, we access an aspect(s) of it, but when clustered, larger patterns arise and illuminate some developmental dynamics.
Some potent combinations are:
• stem 1, stem 7, stem 19, and maybe 15
• stem 2, stem 4, stem 17, stem 29
• stem 6, stem 15, stem 26
• stem 9, stem 16, stem 30
• stem 1, stem 5, stem 10
When we read the client's LDP Form in this creative way, not only do we notice patterns, these 'strands' get woven together into a multi-faceted tapestry of a real person.
Does it sound familiar? What are your favourite constellations of stems/completions? How do you weave it into the fabric of the debrief? What of your professional skills set become a resource here?
Let us meet, share and learn together on 21 November 8:30-10am. Use the booking button below to receive a diary invite with the call details.
