LDP Debrief Support for LDP-authorised practitioners
Every so often we come together to share our LDP Debrief practice and experiences. In each gathering we reflect and share thoughts and challenges, so if you’ve ever thought, “how do I…”, or “I wonder what someone else would think/say….” when it comes to preparing, conducting or reflecting on a debrief, here is your opportunity to ask and hear from others. It doesn’t matter if you’ve done one or 100 debriefs, this call is for everyone to feel supported in their quest to support others.
For our next call on 27 February (8:30-10am).....
Have you had a debrief which you experienced in a profoundly different manner? Every debrief is unique and unlike others, yet some stand out, inviting a totally different take - challenging your capacity and experience, forcing you to think differently.
Our community member Maiken Piil describes her recent experience, "You drive along a familiar landscape, and suddenly it gets bumpy, slippery, and requires different driving skills. I felt perplexed by the clients' completions, having a paradoxical sense of an implied complexity, which at the same time is devoid of depth. What kind of debrief can I have with them? I have literally no idea, as if things don't add up. It felt like I was watching a foreign language movie - only moments of connection, sometimes to the language and sometimes to the character. Will meeting them wow me or will it simply bore me? I have no idea what to expect and where to go with it".
We thought we'd have a conversation around this client's profile as we are curious to hear what you notice and how you make sense of the profile. What do you pick up about them as a person and about their meaning-making? What do you think about their leadership and possible development? How would you approach the debrief and what would you focus on?
Sign up for the session using the booking button below and we'll send you the profile and on the 27 February we'll share our findings in breakout groups and then bring it all together in a plenum. Please feel welcome to share your experience of such client debriefs too - in what way did they 'shake your ground'?
